Community Celebrations
RIF Pittsburgh reaches out to the communities we serve by participating in local Community Celebrations through the year. We provide free books, reading activities, and literacy resources to children and families through events such as:
- Open Houses and Parent’s Nights
- Dr. Seuss Day/Read Across America
- Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s Summer Reading Extravaganza
- Northside Celebration in the Park
- PiratesTales
- Theme Reads at the Pittsburgh Children’s Museum
- Many more local events and festivals
The goal of these Community Celebrations is to directly impact children and families while raising awareness of our services and of RIF Pittsburgh’s unique role in the local literacy scene.
