Florri Ladov, Executive Director

Florri joined RIF Pittsburgh in February. Florri has been leading companies in the Pittsburgh region for the past 25 years. Her focus has been on early stage businesses, companies and transitions and turnarounds. Most recently, she held the position of President and CEO of Innovation Works, The Ben Franklin Technology Partner of Southwestern PA, a publicly funded economic development organization providing risk capital, expertise and resources to high-potential technology start up companies here in our region. Florri received her BS in Operations Management from The University of Vermont and attended the Tepper Graduate School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.

Emily joined RIF Pittsburgh in May. Emily's experience in early childhood education includes tutoring with the America Reads Challenge, teaching basic literacy skills to students in South America with WorldTeach, and working with children at Tender Care Learning Center here in Pittsburgh. Emily recently completed the Coro Women in Leadership Program, and is currently a fellow with the Center for Progressive Leadership.
Kathryn Heffernan, Program and Development Associate

Kathryn joined RIF Pittsburgh in November. Kathryn has interned at a variety of nonprofits throughout the region, while also working in community libraries. She has also worked with children directly, most notably instructing English classes for elementary-school aged refugees in Cairo, Egypt. Kathryn recently completed a master's in Nationalism Studies in Budapest, Hungary and holds a bachelor's in Middle Eastern Studies and Spanish from Wellesley College in Massachusetts.

Jessica joined RIF Pittsburgh in September. Recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, she received a Bachelor of Philosophy in Communication Science and Disorders with a minor in Linguistics and a certificate in Children's Literature. She has gained many unique experiences working with children throughout her undergraduate career, from volunteering at hospitals to working in University of Pittsburgh's Infant Communication Lab. Her semester-long stint tutoring pediatric patients in the Schoolroom at St. Mary's Hospital in London enhanced her sensitivity towards the unique needs of each student. Jessica comes to us through the Literacy*AmeriCorps program of Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council.
