“Won’t You Be a Reader” with RIF Pittsburgh during the Summer and Fall of 2026

At RIF Pittsburgh, our mission is to help kids fall in love with reading. We are always looking for opportunities to partner with others – from individuals to local foundations – in our community who share this vision. That’s why we’re proud to be part of the “Won’t You Be a Reader?” campaign. Together with the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, the Grable Foundation, Scholastic, and more than a dozen organizations across the region, we’re working to spark a lifelong love of reading among Pittsburgh-area young people – and to celebrate the champions who support them.

The campaign kicked off in May with a press conference on the North Shore at the Fred Rogers statue. Our Executive Director, Florri Ladov, and Director of Mentoring and Partnerships, Kyle Fahsel, were proud to launch this campaign with local leaders. We’ll be encouraging kids to read all summer long when we see them in their neighborhoods, at summer camps, during festivals, and in the city’s parks. Stay tuned for updates throughout the summer and fall!
